Now more than ever GTC needs your support for our work to build a more equitable community for all our neighbors, one where everyone feels safe and has what they need for a hopeful and healthy life.  We hope that you’ll make a year end contribution to sustain our work into 2017.

Your contribution will help us raise $50,000 by the end of December to support our youth leadership development and food justice organizing work over the winter. All gifts will be doubled by matching funds from a generous friend of GTC.

This is an important moment for GTC as we stretch to grow into our new Walnut St. Farm, support a new crew of youth coming into leadership and build a strong cross cultural community.

Please join us!

Your gift will help cover:

  • Youth stipends and leadership development, including trainings and conferences on urban agriculture, racism and food justice
  • Wintertime food justice organizing and community building efforts
  • Planning work for the 2017 growing season
  • The continued development of our new Walnut St Farm (completion of passive solar greenhouse, building a rainwater harvesting system, and designing the permanent farm stand).

“I am so grateful for what GTC has done for me.  Now it is my turn to use the tools I have learned to give back to the community of Mason Square/Six Corners, as well as the whole city of Springfield. I want to help build a united community.”
-Brandon Robinson, GTC Youth Leader
